The premier's umbrage is disingenuous to say the least.
The hypocrisy here is difficult to even countenance.
The chimes between Europe of the 1930s and American in the 2010s and early 2020s are clear and persuasive.
Both books portray societies in which strife and discord have been replaced with a kind of analgesic conformity, but the social cohesion comes at a stiff price.
